Tourists that were present at the London landmark, when this incident took place, were seen gasping after they saw the child standing on his feet again after getting knocked by one of the guards.
An anonymous TikTok user has shared this video through his account. This video has gradually gained more than 3.9 million views. It is currently going viral. The caption of the video says that this was the first time when the user’s family visited England.
Ministry Of Defence Responds To Viral Video
As per sources, the Ministry of Defence has claimed that they were aware of the incident that happened with the child. The guard checked on the child immediately after this incident took place.
A spokesperson of MoD wrote, “We are aware of an incident at the Tower of London earlier today during a routine patrol. The Guardsman on duty warned members of the public that a patrol was approaching but the child, unfortunately, ran out in front of the soldier unexpectedly.”
He added, “The soldier tried to step over the child and continued on his duty. Following the incident, the soldier checked on the child and was reassured that all was well.”
The website of the state has mentioned a statement, “Please be aware that sentries on duty or serving military personnel. Visitors are advised to be respectful and stand clear when the guards are marching and performing their official duties.”
