Pooh Shiesty Pleads Guilty To The Firearms Conspiracy Charge

During a bargain with federal prosecutors, Pooh Shiesty, also known as Lontrell Williams, pled guilty to a single charge of weapons conspiracy. He is spared the possibility of life in prison for the alleged shooting at a Florida hotel.

In response to allegations that he had allegedly shot two men at a Florida hotel in October 2020. He pleaded guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge, a report from the Department of Justice in Miami says.

In addition to dropping three other charges due to the guilty plea, the federal prosecutors also dropped three additional charges. Had those charges been upheld, Pooh Shiesty might have faced a lifetime in prison.

In a non-binding agreement with the government, the Memphis rapper was recommended a sentence of just over eight years.

Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis said she did not anticipate a situation in which she would be forced to withdraw her client’s guilty plea if Chief Judge K. Michael Moore handed down a harsher sentence during the upcoming hearing.

Taking three points off of William’s total after his guilty plea will help him when determining his punishment.

According to a Miami federal court judge in July 2021, Lontrell Williams is suspected of shooting and killing two men.

After his arrest, he was detained without bond and has been in detention for seven months. 

Bradford Cohen, Williams’ lawyer, stated to Rolling Stone that they had reached an agreement after Brandon Cooper, the shooting victim. He had been charged with participating in a bank-fraud scheme.

As part of his first release since being jailed since June in an arrest involving a separate incident, the 22-year-old rapper, titled Federal Contraband, released a freestyle in December.

As he wrote on his Instagram account on December 17 that he would be back in a minute, “it won’t be too long till I’m free.”

A sentencing date has not yet been set.

What Actually Happened?

According to authorities, Pooh Shiesty is suspected of traveling to the hotel in a rented McLaren the day of the alleged shooting. He rented to acquire high-end footwear and marijuana.

Williams is supposedly spotted arriving up to the hotel in a black Mercedes Maybach with another man. He identified himself as his road manager sitting shotgun and a third man following after them.

After accepting a bag of marijuana and looking at a pair of footwear, police say Williams pulled out a Draco subcompact handgun and fired, striking the victim in the buttocks.
