During a live appearance on The View on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, singer and actress Patti LuPone compared the Taliban to Christian right-wingers in the country. The interview left netizens fuming. Asserting that she does not understand the difference between the two, the 73-year-old stated: I still do not understand… It’s so dangerous what’s happening in this country right now in the name of religion. LuPone has not been the only one to make such remarks, Whoopi Goldberg noted. In response to a question about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ anti-LGBTQ laws, the Broadway actress responded. The US performer Patti LuPone sparked criticism by comparing Christians with Afghan Taliban. Currently starring in WandaVision’s upcoming spinoff Agatha: Coven of Chaos as a 450-year-old Sicilian witch, the Broadway star made an appearance on The View on Monday. As part of a panel discussing the indictment of President Donald Trump, she made her remarks. According to LuPone, US politicians, particularly Republicans, treat LGBT+ people unfairly. As part of the discussion, she was asked about Florida governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis’ views on LGBT+ issues. As she put it: That’s very upsetting. After all, these are human beings. It makes me want to cry. They aren’t harming anyone. I don’t understand why he does this. I’m not sure. I’m going to get into trouble. In response, they asked why viewers watched The View since that would only mean the show would gain more “attention,” which means it would never be cancelled.

I wonder if Ms Lupone is a believer? Does she have faith in God? Does she believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was risen 3 days later? If any of the above answer is “no” then I feel very sorry for her on Judgement Day & I would invite her to church to listen.
