Latto was one of several big names performing at Coachella over the weekend, but the rapper took to social media to address accusations she faced following some pictures she posted. A series of pictures from the performance was uploaded to her Instagram account by the Grammy nominee. Even so, some fans complained that the crowd appeared larger than it actually was because the photos were photo-shopped. According to an Instagram story posted by Latto on Tuesday, the claims are false. Along with Frank Ocean, Björk, GloRilla, Kali Uchis, Rae Sremmurd, IDK, Willow, Jackson Wang, Pi’erre Bourne, and other big names performing on Sunday, Latte was one of several big performers.

Additionally, Latto thanked Saweetie, Lola Brooke, and TiaCorine for joining her onstage for live versions of B* From Da Souf (Remix), Don’t Play With It and Freaky T, as well as addressing the Photoshop claims. Fans, however, were most intrigued by the song she performed at the end. Fans believe Latto’s new track contains lines directed towards Nicki Minaj, with whom she had a Twitter fight last year. Both Minaj and Latto came to blows after Minaj’s ‘Super Freaky Girl’ was overlooked for nominations at the 2022 Grammy Awards, while Latto’s ‘Big Energy’ was chosen.

In Response To Claims That She Photoshopped Her Coachella Crowd, Latto Responds To These Allegations On Her Instagram Account

In her latest social media posts, Latto responds to claims that she photoshopped the Coachella crowd to make it appear larger. During the festival’s first weekend (16 April), the rapper performed as part of the Sunday lineup. Whatever the case, it’s clear the ‘Big Energy’ singer caused a storm online after uploading images of adoring fans that appear to be photoshopped. Several photos were posted on Twitter by Latto, including one showing the rapper holding outstretched arms to the crowd. Fans speculated whether the image posted by the 24-year-old star was fake or doctored after zooming in. This tweet went viral and garnered 23.8 million views, and the Grammy-nominated rapper came under fire immediately, with thousands claiming it was embarrassing. It’s mad embarrassing, according to one Twitter user. Despite not zooming in, it is obvious too, wrote a second. A third person added: That’s very embarrassing.

Everything is captured on the internet. In response to the avalanche of claims, Latto took to Instagram yesterday (18 April) to respond to the claims that she photoshopped the post. A screenshot of the snap was uploaded, along with the caption: Never photoshopped a crowd lmao. In addition, the ‘Lottery’ star explained that the photo appeared slightly warped and that it wasn’t caused by an editing error. After expanding it so it would fit in my Instagram swipe, it was clearly messed up, so I didn’t use it and just posted the wrong version on Twitter babes by mistake, she said. With a smiley heart face emoji and ‘next’, Latto ended her official statement on the matter. As further proof of the heaving crowd, Latto uploaded more pictures to Twitter the following day (19 April). The rapper posted videos of the Coachella performance, which, to be fair, showed a huge crowd enjoying her performance.
