Olivia Munn Says “It’s Really Hard” to Maintain Her Body Image During Pregnancy

The 41-year-old Olivia Munn opened up recently about her past feelings about her fear of body image all through the pregnancy. She became pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, John Mulaney.

In the latest interview with SiriusXM’s Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw, Olivia and her co-star Justine Bateman talked about the pressure of being perfect. They told in the interview that people expect to be a “Good enough mother.”
Olivia, in her latest interview, responded after her co-star talked about her experiences of being Motherhood. She said, “This is what it is. Friends tell us that they are not good enough as a mother. This pressure and guilt are always on her head. Even if we forget this fact, the world will not let us forgive the guilt of being the perfect mother. I mean what good enough means to society.”
She further added, “And no matter how much you grow, progress and change. The world wants to take you down, and it is easier too. Because even if you did anything 15 years ago or 20 years ago, you will still be beating yourself. You know those moments when you make down of yourself. I do not comprehend how to manage those moments. These are some emotional moments, and I become more vulnerable.”
These were some feelings expressed during the interview. Olivia said, “These are some feelings which came when I saw some mothers on Instagram wearing maternity wear effortlessly. I feel so hard to wear it.” Olivia said that she has one very stylish friend and loves to wear different types of clothes. So, after knowing that she had become pregnant, Olivia’s friend reaches out to her.
Olivia said in the interview that she said,” I wanted to come out to you specifically. I wanted to ask you that I saw many mothers on Instagram where the mother is so skinny. And these mothers are wearing all their past clothes effortlessly. They were having little bumps but were so fashionable. She then recommended me to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley because this woman is pregnant too.”
Olivia said that she was so relieved after her friend reached out to her. Munn, further in her interview, talked about Rosie and said, “Rosie is great, and I love Rosie. I do not have her body, but Rosie told me that I should accept my body and changes in me. If I am not handling my maternity effortless, then that means I am failing in it.”
Munn’s reactions to Motherhood
The 41-year-old Olivia Munn said, “There is nothing right or wrong in pregnant. It is not easy. It is difficult for the people like us who have so many images of the face. I have to look perfect or to show perfectly. Perfection has sometimes become pressure.”
She further added, “I am really very excited to meet this new life, whoever it is. This little creature is making me curious. So, yes, I am happy about it.”
