According to the Courier-Journal, Hazard Mayor Donald ‘Happy’ Mobelini has made the news after some photos from the school’s homecoming ceremony this week went viral.

Concerns about internet photos from the Kentucky high school’s homecoming activities. Which prompted the Hazard Independent Schools superintendent to launch an investigation.

Hazard High School has also uploaded photographs of their recent homecoming events. That includes the athletic department, which has been removed owing to the obscene images previously shared. Aside from that, the school focuses on inappropriate activities in which both teachers and students participate. ‘Man Pageant’ and ‘Costume Day’ are two of the activities. Furthermore, the events take place in the school’s gymnasium. Where the guys wear underwear and act lewdly towards the male teachers.

Who Is Donald Mobelini?

 Hazard High School’s principal is Donald Mobelini.

He is known as Donald Happy Mobelini. Also, serves as mayor of Perry County city, according to the City of Hazard’s official website.

According to the Courier-Journal, Mobelini could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.

Hazard High School Event Gets Backlaw For Viral Images

 After photographs of students dressed inappropriately and allegedly doing lap dances at school, officials leaked online. A homecoming event at Hazard High School drew social media criticism.

According to now-deleted photos on the school athletics Facebook page. Moreover, students and staff participated in the school’s Man Pageant and Costume Day event on Tuesday, October 26th.

 According to reports, several students were disguised as Hooters employees and others were doing lap dances. Donald Mobelini, who’s the principal of Hazard High School, was present during the event.

Furthermore, Aster Sizemore, who’s a member of the board of directors for Hazard Independent Schools, told the Courier-Journal:

Meanwhile, ‘That Nema’ on Twitter, who is a co-founder of the group KY 120 United, expressed her concern and wrote in a post: “Um. Exactly what is going on here, y’all? C’mon Hazard. Get it together.”

Statement From Hazard High School

Hazard Independent Schools Superintendent Sondra Combs has begun an investigation into the viral homecoming photos.

Combs said in a statement:

“First, I wish to address some questions around the incident. The activities were part of Homecoming festivities and were driven by the students.  We strive to foster creativity in our students, but unfortunately, this time it was carried too far.  Spirit Week at Hazard High School has a long and celebrated tradition.”

 Furthermore, Kentucky Department of Education spokesman Toni Konz Tatman stated that the department is “aware of what occurred in Hazard Independent Schools” and that the department has “been in contact with the superintendent, who has informed us that the incident is under review.”
