Odell Beckham Jr. signs a lucrative deal with Baltimore Ravens
It was announced earlier this month that, Odell Beckham Jr. is all set to play as the newest star wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens after signing a whopping $18 million one-year deal.
Additionally, the ex-New York Giants receiver opened up about his one-year deal with Ravens at his introductory press conference in Baltimore.
He said, ‘This is a team that has great talent all across the board – offensive line, running backs, receiving room, defense is great.’
He continued, ‘It boiled down to, I’m at a place in my life where it means a lot more to be wanted. They showed that they wanted me to be here. Not to say that no one else did, but they believed in me. I’m going to come here and put my best foot forward every day.’
Subsequently, Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta shared that Beckham Jr. is back to his best after he sustained a second serious knee injury in the last three years.
He stated, ‘We saw everything we needed to see, knowing that it’s going to just improve.’
He went on to explain, ‘When a guy has a serious injury, in general, it only gets better. It may take time. Sometimes it takes longer, but it only gets better.’
