After being targeted on social media again, Dylan Mulvaney has hit back with a song. In the past week, the trans content creator has partnered with sportswear brand Nike to promote their new line of sports bras and leggings. Transphobic comments and boycott threats have been continuously thrown at the TikTok star since the heartwarming campaign went live. As Mulvaney announced her partnership with the brand on Instagram, she shared a tongue-in-cheek story about working out. According to the Broadway star, when she shared the news with her nearly 2 million followers, she said, “Alert the media!”

Although Mulvaney’s fans were delighted to see her feeling comfortable in her body, others mocked her. Several right-wing groups have called for boycotts of Nike along with hateful comments left on her social media page. A number of other high-profile athletes have also spoken out against the star, including Olympian Sharron Davies and tennis pro-Martina Navratilova. A bitter tweet from the latter said: I guess Nike couldn’t find a female athlete to front sports bras. The former Wimbledon champion continued to make transphobic comments despite being criticized by fans. She continued: Soon, Dylan Mulvaney will be promoting tampons… Although you would think these sporting legends would have better uses for their time, this is just the latest criticism Mulvaney has received.

Trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney broke her silence after receiving harsh criticism over a Nike bra deal and revealed that she couldn’t see a light now. She responded with a defiant song to critics who criticized her. 26-year-old transgender influencer, who teamed up with Nike to promote women’s sportswear has brought criticism to the brand, with some calling it a “sad mockery” of women. The 26-year-old has kept a fairly low profile since signing the deal that could earn her $150,000 per post, except for when she was briefly seen taking out the garbage at her home and in this most recent post. In the clip that has 1,001,171 views, she captioned: The light is hard to see right now. I felt this song was fitting for the week I’ve had. It’s all good. Cheers. Stephen Sondheim’s ‘No One Is Alone’ from Into The Woods was featured in her post. The video was posted by Mulvaney, who uses the pronouns she or they. She typically posts fervently to her social media pages but took a break after receiving vitriol for a paid post in which she was pictured dancing in a Nike sports bra and leggings.

@dylanmulvaney This song felt fitting given the week ive had. Thank you all for making me feel supported, i am not alone ❤️❤️ #trans ♬ original sound – Dylan Mulvaney

During her performance, when she was dressed in a black and pink ball gown, she said: “We are all just trying our best here, no matter what the circumstance or whether we are a parent or a child or whether we are young or old or whether we are trans or none of the above.” Her next words were: “Hard to see the light now.” Don’t give up. Things are about to come out right now. It can be done. There is someone on your side. There is no one who is alone. Since then, the videos have received millions of plays, views, and shares. According to Mulvaney’s latest Nike Instagram posts, she was wearing black leggings and a white sports bra as she struck yoga poses in her backyard. An upbeat song played as the star danced around barefoot in a yard doing workouts. The post generated vicious backlash, and some threatened to boycott the brand after seeing that Mulvaney had partnered with it. There has been a lot of support for the transgender star, but prominent transwomen and athletes have taken issue with her. Olympic silver medalist Sharon Davies, who won silver for Team GB in the 400m individual medley in 1980, called the decision a ‘step back’ after several sports bodies passed legislation protecting biological women.
