Nicki Minaj clarifies the meaning of ‘Karen’ on IG live
Nicki Minaj’s Twitter beef with Latto began a debate on social media about ageism and bullying after the former used the term ‘Karen’ in one of her tweets.
In addition, many users believed that Minaj was using the offensive term to refer to the Big Energy rapper’s biracial heritage.
However, the Super Bass singer took to her Instagram Live to clear the air over her using the word.
She opened with, ‘Being a Karen is more about being manipulative and being passive-aggressive.’
Minaj further gave an example of a white woman accusing a Black man of something he never did.
She explained, ‘This is a great example if you think about it. She knows that when that white police officer comes, he gone arrest that Back man because there’s already a stereotype of the Black man.’
Moreover, the rapper added, ‘So, she can easily pretend to be innocent and sweet in front of the cop because she knows that cop doesn’t like that Black man either.’
Although the Grammy-nominated artist claimed that she is not talking about any person in her live stream.
However, she continued, ‘If you knew you were lying on me, right, and then got me attacked while you played innocent, then that’s what a ‘Karen’ means. Goodness, gracious. Papa Bear’s two years old and he can understand that.’

Nicki Minaj and Latto trade insults on Twitter
Nicki Minaj was involved in a heated exchange with Latto on social media less than a week ago.
The feud reportedly started when Minaj slammed Grammys for listing her ‘Super Freaky Girl’ in the pop category rather than rap.
She said, ‘If SFG (Super Freaky Girl) has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll.’

Latto on the other hand clapped back by saying, ‘Damn I can’t win for losing…all these awards/noms I can’t even celebrate.’
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old rapper responded with, ‘This Karen has probably mentioned my name in over 100 interviews. But today, scratch off decides to be silent; rather than speak up for the black woman she called her biggest inspiration.’
