Tsu Surf is currently detained over federal charges. However, rumors are circulating that the Feds reportedly paid people to keep an eye on the veteran battle rapper’s social media.

Here is everything you need to know.

Tsu Surf’s RICO charges explored

Tsu Surf was arrested on 13th October Thursday in New Jersey under RICO charges in connection to a DEA case.

According to Fox 5, New York, the 32-year-old artist was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force at around 1:30 pm.

Subsequently, he was taken to the Essex County Jail in Newark, New Jersey, where he is currently being held.

Additionally, reports claim that he tried to flee from the house through the backdoor but law enforcement had already surrounded the place.

Upon seeing authorities, Surf retreated and barricaded himself and the woman in the house, and then crisis negotiators were called. Regardless, after speaking with the negotiators he peacefully surrendered.

Tsu Surf’s manager responds to the rapper’s arrest

Tsu Surf’s manager Qua Bellamy released a statement to address the incident when she sat down with Lisa Avers.

In addition, Evers took to her official Twitter account to share the message. She posted a video on the plat form to briefly talk about her exchange with Bellamy.

She said, ‘Qua says that Tsu Surf is definitely not on the run. He says he is in good spirits and preparing to deal with a federal law enforcement matter.’

Furthermore, she added, ‘He says he’s also making plans to take care of his family and the business associates who depend on him. Qua also says that Tsu does not know the severity of the situation yet. But is preparing for the worst and praying for the best.’

Nevertheless, recently, Bellamy wrote on her Twitter page, ‘Yeah y’all can officially go ahead and put that ‘free’ in front of his name.’

Meanwhile, the Hip-hop industry has been hit hard with the recent arrest of rappers who have been charged with RICO counts.

If you didn’t know, Young Thug and Gunna were taken into custody in Atlanta in May this year alongside 26 other YSL members.

They are facing charges of allegedly conspiring to violate the RICO Act, murder, and armed robbery. Moreover, reports claim that they are also charged with taking part in criminal street gang activity.
