Nick Mara from PRETTYMUCH reported he’ll breaking from the group to ‘take on new endeavours as an individual. The group put out an announcement on Friday 7th October saying farewell to Nick Mara, yet assuring fans that they’ll keep on making music with four members. The band, who have four different members in addition to Nick Mara — Edwin Honoret, Brandon Arreaga, Zion Kuwonu, and Austin Poter — likewise shared their new single ‘H2L’ made by the remaining members of the group. The single, which they describe as a Web3 single, is the band’s first independent release and is completely written and produced by the band members, as per their post on Sound.xyz.

Nick Mara is officially leaving the band. The band is responsible for the hit R&B single titled ‘Would You Mind’ which topped the Billboard Pop Airplay chart at No. 40. The American-Canadian boy band was brought together by Simon Cowell in 2016, like other famous groups like One Direction and Little Mix. This isn’t the end of PRETTYMUCH, the band said in the statement. It is essentially a fresh start where we can at last take care of you all the music and content you deserve in our own way!

On Friday, the group — responsible for hits like ‘Phases’ and ‘Summer On You’ reported that after some very difficult discussions as a band, Nick Mara had decided to leave the group to ‘take on new endeavours as a person. The boy band said thanks to their fans for staying with them over the last six and a half years and shared the first taste of the new PrettyMuch with the release of a song titled H2L.

As far as it matters for him, Nick Mara shared an explanation on his own social media expressing gratitude toward his former bandmates for being with him ‘through the ups and the downs. The time has come for me to reset myself. After a lengthy idea, I understood I see a different direction for myself to truly give a valiant effort for me, Nick Mara composed. This was the hardest choice I needed to make and has been waiting for as far back as the year.
