Nick Cannon hits back at claims he messed up his marriage with Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon clapped back at his cohost, Courtney Bee Bledsoe when she accused him of botching his marriage to Mariah Carey in the recent episode of the Daily Cannon Show.

He said, ‘Explain to me how I fumbled Mariah.’

Bledsoe on the other tried to clear the air by stating that she was joking. She answered, ‘I don’t know. I just know you’re not with her, so that’s a fumble.’

Moreover, Cannon replied saying, ‘Maybe she fumbled me.’

However, he went on to note that he ‘was there’ for the ‘Always Be My Baby’ singer throughout their relationship.

More about Nick Cannon’s relationship with Mariah Carey

Nick Cannon began seeing Mariah Carey in 2008 and eventually tied the knot after six weeks of dating in April 2008.

In addition, the pair welcomed fraternal twins, a son Moroccan and a daughter Monroe, in April 2011.

Cannon took to his official Twitter account to announce the arrival of his two kids.

He said, ‘My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life.’

He added, ‘I won’t ever be able to top this!’

Nevertheless, the couple’s relationship was not meant to last. Careh filed for divorce in 2014 after being married to Cannon for six years.

Additionally, the duo settled two years following the initial filing. They further agreed on joint custody of their children.

The Wild ‘N Out star talked about his co-parenting arrangement with the ‘We Belong Together’ singer during an interview with Us Weekly in April 2019.

He mentioned, ‘We got our egos and this selfish behavior [but] when you put your children first, you understand that it’s all unconditional love. All that other stuff just falls apart.’

Meanwhile, his comments about Carey come a month after he gushed over her during his appearance on The Shade Room.

He mentioned, ‘I always talk about that and then it goes viral and all her fans get mad at me, but I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall and then that becomes my wife!’

He pointed out, ‘It’s the fact that she’s the coolest person I’ve ever met. I get a lot of my delightful disposition from her.’
