The Romanian authorities raided Andrew and Tristan Tate’s compound on December 29 in connection with alleged human trafficking and organized crime charges. As part of DIICOT’s investigation, the brothers will remain detained until February 27th. The detainees have maintained contact with fans and allowed family visits despite their detention. In response to the extension, the lawyer for the brothers remarked that it was unjustified. At the request of prosecutors, Romanian authorities can hold suspects like the Tate’s for up to 180 days. The legal proceedings are still ongoing, and it is unclear whether they will appear in public again. Even so, they remain unwavering in their belief that no case can be brought against them.
