NBA Youngboy’s Beef With Atlantic Records

Atlantic Records is not a good label according to YoungBoy Never Broke Again. He even urged and recommend other artists to steer clear of it.

This is, however, not the first time NBA Youngboy is in a rift with Atlantic Records. The 22-year-old rapper has raised grievances and displeasure while working with the record label in the past as well.

Atlantic Records has been in the music recording business for the last 6 decades. Ranging from old-school icons like Aretha Franklin & Led Zeppelin to modern-day crooners such as Bruno Mars & Ed Sheeran, Atlantic Record is home to all.

In a new post published to his YouTube channel, YoungBoy claims he’s being blackballed due to his No. 2 position on the Billboard 200 with Colors.

Recently, in February 2022, NBA Youngboy took to Youtube to complain about the record label as well. He expressed how the record label blackballed him. According to Merriam Webster, blackball means to exclude oneself from membership by voting against or particularly: to vote against.

According to DJ Akademiks, Youngboy wrote that his mixtape, which had been at #1 for two straight weeks, was taken off the charts.

In December 2021, NBA Youngboy spoke to DJ Akademiks about his Atlantic Deal. After releasing Sincerely, Kentrell in September of that year, he told Akademiks during another Record conversation that he had one more album left to complete for his Atlantic contract. He further revealed to DJ Akademiks that Atlantic Records isn’t going to back him up.

According to Complex, Sincerely, Kentrell signed a $2 million deal with Atlantic Records in 2016 that entails five albums. In addition to Warner Music Australia, he has also signed with Young Stoner life records at the moment.
