When Willie was in his 40s, he took the decision to adopt a child. He adopted a 7 years old Nathen. This is how Nathen came into Willie’s life in 2010. Willie expressed his will to have a child regardless of him being in a relationship or not. Therefore, Willie brought Nathen home and took care of him being a single parent.
Page Six revealed that Nathen is a college student but it is not revealed where he studies. His Instagram account tells a lot about him. According to it, he is 20 years old. He likes to play tennis as his Instagram bio reads “I travel with bald eagles and I play Tennis.” This also shows that he loves to travel to different places.

He showed his love towards his father and wrote, “I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own. You’ll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I’m glad you can be at peace now.” Nathen also said that he was proud of his father.
Nathen concluded his post by saying “I’m glad you shared your love with me. I’ll never forget it or lose it.”
