Monique Samuels, known for her stint on “The Real Housewives of Potomac” (RHOP), was recently the subject of speculation regarding her participation in the upcoming third season of Peacock’s “The Traitors.” However, the Bravo show alum has officially debunked these rumors.

Taking to her Instagram, Monique Samuels shared a selfie and addressed the casting rumors head-on. In the caption, she wrote, “Neither a traitor or a faithful 🥴.” She added, “Sorry to disappoint but the rumors ARE NOT TRUE 🤣🤣🤣 WTF?! 😐 I love y’all though! And I do love that show!” This clarification puts to rest any notions of her involvement in the new season of “The Traitors.”

Despite Monique’s denial, there have been reports suggesting that the producers of the Peacock show initially considered her for the upcoming season. However, they ultimately decided against it due to budget constraints. The reports indicated that the show couldn’t ‘afford’ Monique for Season 3 but left open the possibility of her starring in a future season.

As of now, Peacock has not officially announced the cast or release date for “The Traitors” Season 3. Nonetheless, there are plenty of rumors circulating about potential contestants. One name that has been frequently mentioned is Kenya Moore from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA). Speculation about her participation grew after she posted, and then quickly deleted, a video on Instagram that prominently featured the “Traitors” logo.

Other rumored contestants include notable “Big Brother” alums such as Cody Calafiore, Rachel Reilly, Dan Gheesling, and Janelle Pierzina. Additionally, Alan Cumming is expected to return as the host of the show, continuing his role from previous seasons.

Monique Samuels’ departure from “RHOP” sparked considerable speculation. Contrary to rumors that she was fired, Monique clarified during an episode of the “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast that she had decided to leave the show well before her infamous altercation with Candiace Dillard became public. She recounted her conversation with Bravo executives, saying, “When I talked to the executives right after that fight happened, the next day, I told them I am done.”

She further explained her decision, stating, “I am not here for this. This is getting me out of my character. I’m a person who is pretty much in control of myself, and I said this is just not good for me. I said sorry to the network, sorry to production, but I don’t wanna do this anymore.”

Monique’s choice to leave “RHOP” was driven by her desire to maintain her self-control and character, which she felt was being compromised by the drama of the show. As she steps away from reality TV, fans will undoubtedly keep an eye on her future endeavors, even if “The Traitors” isn’t part of them for now.
