Katie Sorensen or Kathleen Sorensen who is a mom influencer has been lately in the limelight again for the abduction claim she made on the Latino couple. Katie shared a video in 2020 on social media making claims that a Latino couple has been trying to abduct her kids.
The video went viral making the police investigate the matter. Katie claimed that her two kids were tried to be abducted by a Petaluma couple at Michael’s craft store. The videos of the claims came out on Instagram that now has been deleted.

Years after Katie Sorensen made claims about a Latino couple trying to abduct her kids. It was on 26th April that Katie was found guilty of faking a crime. In 2021, Katie was charged with filing a fake report of a crime. Post which on the 27th, the district attorney’s office claimed that Katie’s claims were found to be false.
Katie Sorensen was convicted of making a false report after she told police in 2020 that a Latino man and woman tried to kidnap her children at Michaels.

Even the surveillance video of a store contradicted what Katie Sorensen has claimed about her kids’ abduction. Not just that, the couple suspected of the abduction too had denied the charges against them. Katie meanwhile can be punishable for fabricating a story of a crime.

Katie Sorensen has been arrested back in the year 2021 April. However, after her trial began she was charged on her with three misdemeanors for giving fake information to the cops at three different times.
Prosecutors even said that Katie fabricated a story of a crime to build her Instagram brand. After all the trials and finding Katie guilty of faking a crime, she has been held in Sonoma County Jail. She is to be sentenced in the month of June and is likely to face imprisonment for up to six months.
