The news that Mike Tyson is dead has been trending on Twitter. Fans were confused and shocked to hear this about the boxer while some were paying tributes to him. However, this is just a rumour and fortunately, the boxer isn’t dead.

Mike Tyson: What Caused The Rumour?

In an interview, the boxer claimed that he had a near-death experience after he tried a certain drug.

Mike Tyson said that he drank Toad Venom after he was given a dare and talked about his experience. He said, “I ‘died’ during my first trip,” in a conversation with The New York Post. He also talked about the psychedelic drugs having a long term effect on him.

Toad Venom is a psychedelic toxin produced by Colorado River Toad. It can be taken by vaporizing and inhaling. It is highly addictive and dangerous to use and cause the person to hallucinate. However, it clearly isn’t meant for humans.

“In my trips, I’ve seen that death is beautiful. Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep. The toad has taught me that I’m not going to be here forever. There’s an expiration date,” the 55-year-old added.

He mentioned that the incident happened four years ago, at that time he was overweight and was probably going through a hard time. Mike resorted to alcohol and drugs back then. He also said that the reason he did not hesitate in trying Toad Venom was that he was already doing cocaine.

Tyson has tripped on Toad 53 times. He also said that Toad Venom lead him to a path of self-realization. “The toughest opponent I ever faced was myself. I had low self-esteem. People with big egos often have low self-esteem. We use our ego to subsidize that. The toad strips the ego,” he added.

The boxer has now lost a lot of weight and is now more present as a businessman and entrepreneur.
