Following a video showing Mike Tyson repeatedly hitting another passenger on an aircraft. The former heavyweight boxing champion will allegedly face no charges after all parties involved declined to pursue any.

What was in the video?

TMZ Sports received a video of Mike Tyson striking the individual sitting behind him on the airplane en route to Florida. The event occurred on April 20 around 10:30 p.m. PT at San Francisco International Airport. SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Prosecutors said Tuesday that they would not bring criminal charges against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson after seeing on film hitting a fellow first-class passenger aboard an aircraft at San Francisco International Airport last month.

Mike Tyson stepped off the plane

According to a witness who is friends with the individual Mike Tyson assaulted, Mike Tyson was initially polite with the passengers, even snapping a photo with one of them. The boxing legend ultimately begged the individual to leave him alone, but when he did not, the witness told TMZ Sports that Mike Tyson began beating his companion repeatedly. Mike Tyson, according to the witness, stepped off the plane.

No charge against Mr. Mike Tyson

According to TMZ Sports, the individual sought medical assistance and reported the altercation to authorities. “Based on the facts surrounding the confrontation, we have decided not to bring any charges against Mr. Mike Tyson,” San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said in a statement, according to NBC News. “These include the victim’s actions leading up to the event, Mr. Mike Tyson’s relationship with the victim, and both the victim and Mr. Mike Tyson’s pleas that no charges be made in this case.” Tyson, 55, is one of the most successful boxers in history, having won his first 37 professional fights and retired with a 50–6 record. Tyson, according to the witness, stepped off the plane. According to TMZ Sports, the individual sought medical assistance and reported the altercation to authorities.
