With their talent, Lil Wayne and Young Thug have made a reputation for themselves in the industry. While the two were initially buddies, things quickly soured and turned into a feud.

Lil Wayne and Young Thug have created music that many people enjoy over the years. The two musicians have undeniable talent, and they have the potential to smash records together.

Fans had anticipated for this when the two were working on tracks independently. Things, on the other hand, quickly improved.

Beef explored by Lil Wayne and Young Thug

According to Billboard, Lil Wayne and Young Thug were finally signed to the same label, Vash Money Records. Prior to this, the two had expressed an interest in collaborating on a song.

When it comes to collaborations, Young Thug has said that he prefers Lil Wayne to Michael Jackson. There did not appear to be any indication that the two had an issue.

Things began to fall apart in 2016, a few years after Lil Wayne released a pair of mixtapes under Carter’s management. Carter V was expected, however the rapper quickly clarified that it would not be released. There’s no denying that the fans were let down.

The most startling development was Young Thug’s announcement that Carter 6 would be released. It didn’t take Lil Wayne long to come out and attack the rapper. This was also the start of their feud, as well as the episode that permanently altered their friendship.

What Does Young Thug Have to Say About Lil Wayne?

Young Thug talked up about meeting Lil Wayne for the first time on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast in 2020.

“Then it just went on and on and on,” he added. I dapped him up once, and he dapped me back. ‘Listen, bruh, I dap your hand once more…’ ‘I’m never going to touch your hand again.’

What is the status of their friendship right now?

Young Thug discussed his connection with Lil Wayne on Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM in 2021. He admitted that everything that had transpired previously had been a misunderstanding and that they had reached a point where they had moved on.

Young Thug also stated that they were collaborating on an album. Wayne, on the other hand, has remained silent on the subject.
