Mike Richards leaves ‘Jeopardy” amid Scandals. Who should be the next host for the show Jeopardy?

Jeopardy! The quiz show’s celebrity host Mike Richards has lost his job amid accusations of Scandals. The tapping out of Richards happened after 9 full episodes. He was a replacement for Legendary host Alex Trebek. Richard also works in the off-screen department of the show, he was afraid that the upsetting and weird details of his past are showing up. Many ugly and weird comments that he made on an eight-year-old podcast started surfacing over the internet.

The post of Executive Producer will continue with Mike Richards but he will not host anymore. A new permanent host will be featured for The Season 13 of the show. Sony Pictures TV confirmed on Friday that Richards will step aside as a host. Mike Richards in a recent interview said that the backlashes of his past have made it difficult for him to host. The episodes including Mike will keep premiering as the show is a fan favorite.

Legal Complications and Past

Mike Richards’s instant exit occurred when Anti- Defamation League called for an investigation. Reporters are publishing about Mike’s upsetting behavior and weird comments. He was accused of joking about women, Jews, and other tribal groups in an episode of “The Randumb Show” in 2013. He allegedly asked his co-star about her nude pictures.

In the end, Sony said that Mike’s appearance in the show will be harmful to the TRP of the show. The studio is still on his side and offered him to continue the role of Executive Producer. The studio calls him a neutral personality and wants him to work on the back of the Big Screen. A new long list of hosts will be provided for the inauguration of the 38th year in syndication next month. Richard started taping as a permanent host on August 19, which became his first and last appearance as a host.

Who Can Be The Next Jeopardy! Host?

Sony Pictures TV knows how much the audience loves “Jeopardy!”. It was hard for Sony, as they confessed, to replace the legendary host with anyone. The legendary host Trebek died last year of old age, he was 80. A long list of hosts is in line including Mayim Bialik, Katie Couric, Anderson Cooper, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Robin Roberts, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, LeVar Burton, Ken Jennings, and Aaron Rodgers. From the moment he became a permanent host fans were unhappy as they wanted Mayim Bialik to be the permanent host. Mayim is currently working as a weekend host.
