It’s official: So You Think You Can Dance and Hit the Floor alum Tiffany Maher has tied the knot! The choreographer tied the knot with entrepreneur Kyle Spence on Saturday at the Bahia Mar resort by Hilton in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, in a private and intimate ceremony surrounded by 250 of their closest family and friends. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Maher, 29, explains that she wanted the party to be beautiful, elegant, and magical. I wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Our ceremony area was on the intercostal. It’s beautiful, because I love water, so it’s just looking out at it. Adding that, she says, she just wanted it to feel magical.

A mutual friend’s wedding brought the couple together during the pandemic. Tiffany Maher had no intention of dating at that point. About a year ago, Kyle Spence, 32, proposed on Maher’s father’s birthday before a Christmas tree in Delray Beach, which inspired the couple to tie the knot around the same time. A variety of meats and cheeses were served at their after-party, as well as pizza because the foodies wanted their guests to eat well. In order to ensure those in the holiday spirit were satisfied, they even made sure the dessert stood out.

My Hit the Floor partner, the girl we met at her wedding, told me about him in 2017 when we first met. Nevertheless, I was at a place in my life when I didn’t want to hear a man’s name. Fast forward to August 2020 and I’m going to the wedding he’s best man at. Our relationship dates back to when I was a bridesmaid, and now we’re getting married. That’s just crazy. Maher’s father’s birthday is around the same time as Spence proposed in Delray Beach last year, which inspired the pair to tie the knot at the same time. Maher, who has a dance background, emphasized musical moments at the wedding, which was decorated with lots of candles and white flowers. Now that Maher and Spence are officially married, they are looking forward to embarking on their honeymoon and beginning their new chapter together.
