Meet Joe Gatto’s Wife, Bessy as Comedian Leave “Impractical Jokers” After Splitting With Wife
3 min readIn a lengthy Instagram post on Friday, the 45-year-old comedian, Joe Gatto confirmed he was quitting the popular truTV series after a decade amid some personal issues.
Gatto apologized in advance for the longer and more serious-than-usual note below that accompanied a black and white image of himself.
On a short note, he just wanted to inform everyone that he is no longer going to be involved with Impractical Jokers.
He continued by saying that alongside his friends, he has devoted a decade of his life to building this franchise. He said he couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. “However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away,” he said.
After their 2013 marriage, Gatto noted he has “decided to end our relationship amicably with Bessy Gatto.”
Now he intends to dedicate himself to being the best father and co-parent to our twin kids.
After addressing the rest of his comedy group, Gatto said a few words about James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal Vulcano.
The relationships with Murr, Q, and Sal have been the most significant in his life, aside from his family. “I know they will continue to make the world laugh.”
Who is Bessy Gatto?
Bessy Gatto, Joe’s wife, may be familiar to you from her appearances on Impractical Jokers.
In contrast to her estranged husband, she is not a comedian. Betty is 39 and has two children with Joe. Their marriage took place in 2013.
There’s more to Bessy than her on-screen image and popularity from the TV show. Her Instagram bio describes her as a “public figure,” but there’s more to her than that.
In addition to loving dogs, she is an animal activist who is actively involved in rescuing and helping them. Her volunteer position at Gala Chance Rescue NYC Dogs is on the Gala Committee.
Couple Opens Up About Their Split
Joe and Bessy each wrote separate posts about their split.
He acknowledged the fact that he won’t be a part of Impractical Jokers moving forward and thanked his fans for their support.
“Seeing you laugh has been my own medicine, especially during these strange and difficult times,” he wrote.
In her post, she announced that she and her partner had decided to separate.
She also mentioned that in spite of the fact that they won’t be together anymore, they will always be a family to their children, and they will enjoy doing so together.
Joe’s Fans React to His Exit
While some of Joe’s fans have expressed their support as the comedian is going through a difficult time, others have expressed their disappointment at his departure. It won’t be the same without Joe, wrote one user who had been watching old Impractical Jokers episodes. One user expressed his sadness at Joe_Gatto’s departure.
“@truTVjokers first betty white, then covid, now this. 2022???”
I never laughed as hard in my life until Scoopski potatoes. Any time I need a laugh I play that episode. Best wishes Joe. We will miss the laughter you brought to the show.
