Having gained immense fame and success as a result of Fast and Furious movies, all actors associated with the movies have skyrocketed in fame. Luke Evans, who played Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6 and The Fate of the Furious, is one of the many actors rumored to play James Bond in the beloved movie. As a response to the same, the actor provides an update on the role of the secret agent in the future. The replacement of Daniel Craig has been discussed for quite some time. In that same quest to find a suitable candidate, Taron Egerton, Dev Patel, Henry Golding, Will Poulter, and Idris Elba all emerged as candidates.

As of yet, there is no official update on the matter. On a panel at the Wales Screen Summit, Luke Evans admitted that he does not know who the next James Bond will be, but that even being considered for the part is a “boundary-breaking” opportunity. Assuring that “nobody knows” who’s landed the spy agent role, the Fast and Furious actor made no signs to confirm his involvement. Later, the actor joked about those who have already bet on him becoming the next James Bond. The actor further said You may win some money, but don’t come to me when you lose it.

Following Daniel Craig’s Exit, Will Luke Evans Be The Next James Bond?

The Fast & Furious star Luke Evans responds heartfelt to rumors that he might be the next James Bond. Evans is rumored to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond because of his performances in Fast & Furious 6 and The Fate of the Furious, as well as Gaston in the live-action Beauty and the Beast. Other rumored candidates include Kingsman’s Taron Egerton, Dev Patel, Snake Eyes’ Henry Golding, Will Poulter, and Idris Elba. During a panel discussion at the Wales Screen Summit (via BBC), Evans expressed a sweet reaction to James Bond rumors. Evans believes that his casting as 007 would be boundary-breaking because of his Welsh heritage and as a gay kid from the valleys; however, he did not confirm his casting, saying that “nobody knows” who will end up in the role. My status as a Welsh boy and gay kid from the valleys sends a strong message to the young people of my country that anything is possible.

When it comes to bets on whether Luke Evans will play Bond, Luke Evans said, You might win some money, but don’t come to me if you lose it. It is not easy to pick the next 007, as evidenced by the numerous casting rumors. Despite the fact that Craig’s Bond films – such as Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die – were widely acclaimed, it’s hard to follow in his footsteps. Evans might be an unexpected but excellent choice for the role as an accomplished but relatively lesser-known actor. In addition to his stint in Fast & Furious, he would provide the opportunity to have an actor play James Bond for the next generation, rather than just cast an actor as Bond. Within his own flattered reaction, Luke Evans also raises a critical point: representation. Hollywood has the opportunity to change the image of what it means to be a Bond man with the next Bond casting.
