Love Is Blind season four star Marshall Glaze apologized after backlash over resurfaced tweets deemed “colourist” and “anti-Black.” The tweets emerged this week when users shared screenshots of Glaze’s posts, insensitive remarks about Black women dating back to 2011. On 20 April, the 27-year-old marketing manager apologized for his past comments and explained why he didn’t delete them. A Reddit user u/No_animereader1471 posted screenshots of Marshall Glaze’s old tweets earlier this week on the Reddit forum r/LoveIsBlindOnNetflix.
Tweets made by Glaze when he was between 15 and 18 years old shared many negative opinions about Black women and his preference for Latinas. Fans of Love Is Blind expressed disappointment after learning about Glaze’s past tweets, while some admitted they weren’t surprised yet another celeb has apologized for their insensitive remarks. Many fans supported Glaze after Jackelina Bonds called off their engagement, but some decided to switch teams when his resurfaced Tweets were revealed.

Love Is Blind Star Marshall Glaze Apologized For Resurfacing Racist Tweets
Following the reemergence of several of Marshall Glaze’s previous “colorist” tweets, Glaze issued an apology on Twitter. Several old tweets from years ago have surfaced, the reality star wrote. This happens to almost everyone who enters the public eye. To be clear, as I already stated to someone, things change. When I tweeted most of this, I was an unhappy teenager who had a lot of problems. Glaze wrote that he has “grown” since then and “does not feel or think the same way.” He also stated that he had the option to delete his prior tweets, but chose to leave them up for a reason. It’s part of my own development, the marketing manager explained. As a human being. Those old tweets are merely proof that I’ve grown up. I thank God for the chance to be hurt, to seek clarity and forgiveness, and to grow into a better person. In his remarks, Glaze referred to tweets from just over a decade ago in which he made disparaging comments about black women. The tweet, which he posted in 2014, What a bunch of sad Black girls doing in a damn circle sharing their stories about how bad men are. And he added, I’ll tell you, BLACK females. Why?
In another old tweet, Marshall Glaze wrote that Latina girls know how to treat their dudes and that he “prefers” light-skinned women. Following the resurfacing of Glaze’s tweets, several people voiced their disapproval. Marshall is really just lame if we’re being honest. I thought much of what he said was cringeworthy, but after seeing the tweets, he really was corny, one user wrote. It’s a damn shame Marshall from LIB has been exposed with his old tweets and now he’s a whole colourist?!? another replied. I’m tired of black women being told to get over things. We are entitled to be angry at Marshall for those tweets. #LoveIsBlind, wrote another. We all cheered for you until those black girl tweets from 2014 resurfaced, tweeted by a fourth person. As a member of the cast of the popular Netflix dating show, Marshall Glaze starred in the fourth season. He dated Jackelina “Jackie” Bonds. As it turns out, the couple never got to the aisle since Bonds, also 27, ended their relationship and began dating Josh Demas, whom she also met on the show. In leaked text messages, the dental assistant apologized for making jokes about Glaze’s sexuality.
