Lizzo Attends the Pre-met Gala Dinner in 2023 Despite Slamming the Event in 2022

Lizzo attended Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner the previous night. Moreover, it comes after she harshly criticized the event last year. She was seen entering Wintour’s private residency in a stunning purple gown.

A resurfaced video of Lizzo is making rounds on social media where she is seen complaining about the Met Gala last year.
However, she went on to arrive at Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner party this year which was held in New York City on 30th April Sunday.
Nevertheless, Lizzo took to her Instagram Live last year to share her disdain for the event which quickly went viral.
She said, ‘There’s a long f***ing line. I’m taking the glamour away from it but it’s true. You’ve gotta wait.’

She added, ‘So you’re waiting and that’s the hardest part. I was sweating in a big-ass coat, my feet were hurting.’
In addition, she slammed the event for having a lack of amenities as well as alcohol.
She explained, ‘They don’t have no chairs, no cocktails. I was like, “B***h? Can we get some chairs or some drinks or some hors d’oeuvres?”‘
But Lizzo was majorly disappointed when she headed inside the venue. Additionally, the Truth Hurts musician realized that the only alcohol available at the event was either red wine or white wine.
She mentioned, ‘They were being really stingy with the liquor that night. He was like, “Red or white wine?” And I was like, “Tequila!”‘
She explained, ‘Do you know how many hours I’ve been in this corset? How long I’ve been in these damn shoes? Tequila!’
Lizzo has attended two Met Gala as of now
Lizzo has presently attended two Met Gala and made her gala debut in the year 2021. Besides that, the theme for the event that year was ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’
Regardless, Lizzo stunned everyone by donning an Old Hollywood-inspired outfit created by Moschino. It was a tribute to America’s iconic actress, Marilyn Monroe.
Furthermore, she wore a pink satin gown which had a thigh-high slit. She completed her outfit with a feather boa in pink color and a jeweled clutch bag that has the word ‘VOTE’ inscribed on it.
Meanwhile, Lizzo opted to wear a semi-sheer purple midi-dress for her latest appearance at Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner. She also joined A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Penelope Cruz, and Sienna Miller.
