Lindsey Morgan, Micki Ramirez of ‘Walker’ Exits in Season 2, Says ‘Truly a Privilege’

Walker season 2 just premiered and fans might have to say bye to Lindsey Morgan from the show. Lindsey, who plays the female lead Micki Ramirez has decided to walk off due to “personal reasons”.
Walker – a reboot of 1990s western drama
The well-received crime drama premiered this year in January. While season two was released on 28th October 2021. The show is a reboot of the television series- Walker, Texas Ranger. The show is about a Texas Ranger, Cordell Walker whose wife Emily is murdered. He also has two kids and somehow shares a bitter relationship with them. To escape his depressing personal life, he joins an undercover mission and is paired with Micki Ramirez.
The series shows them solving cases together while they also deal with personal problems.
Lindsey Morgan, the half-Latin half Irish actress plays Micki Ramirez who is a former State Highway Patrol Officer and wants to do something great as a Ranger.
She is known for playing Raven Reyes in another CW science fiction drama. Even though Walker has received mixed reviews, it is the most-watched show on CW since January 2018.
Lindsey Morgan leaving the show-
The reasons for Lindsey Morgan leaving the show are still unknown. However, in a recent interview she said, “After much thoughtful consideration and introspection, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from my role as Micki Ramirez on Walker for personal reasons”. She also expressed her gratitude to the show producers, CBS studios, and the CW for allowing her to do so.
Since she is one of the major characters of the show and the show might suffer now that she is walking off. She will appear only in a few episodes of season 2. It is also unknown how her character will be written off of the show. Jared Padalecki who plays Cordell Walker, the male lead is also the executive producer of the show. He said “Lindsey is a wonderful person, inside and out. I am proud of, and grateful for, her work on Walker. Moreover, I’m honored to consider her a friend.”
In addition to this, an official statement was released on behalf of the network and studio saying that they fully respect and support Lindsey in her decision. They also said, “ We will, of course, leave the door open for ‘Micki’ to return”. This means that there might be a future possibility that Lindsey will come back. Fans are definitely hoping she comes back once her problems are resolved.
