2K Sports broke the news about Lil Wayne joining the NBA 2K23 MyTeam on 16th February Thursday.
Moreover, gamers can now unlock the five-time Grammy-winning rapper’s card by finishing a Spotlight Challenge.
Additionally, the video released by 2K Sports revealed that Lil Wayne will be available with an overall rating of 89.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old singer’s NBA 2K23 appearance comes after he featured in several soundtracks of NBA 2K. For the unversed, he was introduced at the launch party held in Los Angeles in September 2022.

In addition, Lil Wayne took the stage to perform a selection of his hit songs which included Blunt Blowin, Wasted, Mrs. Officer, along with A Milli.
Besides that, Ronnie Singh, the digital marketing director of 2K Games, talked about Lil Wayne during an interview with Sports Illustrated after launching the new game.
He said, ‘The Wayne thing, he’s the best rapper of all time, probably.’
Singh also known as Ronnie 2K mentioned, ‘I had been working on that for a while. When he shouted me out in the middle, I was like, “What the hell is happening?”‘
Consequently, he added, ‘I think we’ve earned our position there, and it’s taken years and years of shifting the game, the tremendous amount of work our studio does to be relevant.’
On the music front, Lil Wayne is reportedly teaming up with NLE Choppa for an upcoming collaboration.

NLE Choppa joins hands with Lil Wayne for new single
NLE Choppa shot a music video alongside Lil Wayne for their latest collaboration which is titled, Ain’t Gonna Answer.
Moreover, Young Money shared a post on his Instagram account on 15th February Wednesday where the Memphis rapper is seen gifting Lil Wayne a bouquet.
Choppa also went ahead to gift the New Orleans legend a signed custom skateboard for simply being an inspiration.
The 20-year-old artist can be heard saying in the brief video, ‘First and foremost, I feel like accolades never define the artist. But me personally, I feel like you’re supposed to have way more accolades at your weight.’
Lil Wayne on the other hand expressed his gratitude to Choppa for making such a beautiful gesture.
He remarked, ‘I appreciate that. This is my life right here. For real, for real. Whatever cameras, if y’all watching — be like this guy, man. Be like this guy. He’s a good guy, man. For real.’
