After her family announced the fashion designer’s sudden death, people on the internet are shocked. An official statement was issued on behalf of the family that said, “The word ‘special’ feels insufficient to assign to the forcefield of optimism, passion, and kindness that was Kikka, but it is undoubtedly the most direct route to capturing her. That the 16Arlington studio will no longer ring with her wicked laughter and her boundless appetite for creativity is a tragic loss to all those lucky enough to know her.”

The actress also talked about how mesmerized she was by Kikka’s beauty. She said, ”But that wasn’t what hit me first, because before all that – when Kikka threw her arms open to greet me, despite our never having met – what I noticed was her laugh. It was the kind of laugh that you might call a cackle. If it wasn’t so sweet, but you also wouldn’t call it a giggle because it was too all-encompassing”. Lena wrote a long tributing mentioning everything she liked about Kikka and their fun moments together.  Dunham, who was deeply affected by the loss also said, “No one who crossed her path will ever be the same”.
