One of the widely acclaimed producer and director Ivan Reitman has passed away and it has left the industry in shock and grief. Well, certainly the man behind the popular film “Ghostbuster” has finally said goodbye to all at the age of 75. The sad news of his demise was confirmed yesterday. But how did Ivan Reitman die?

While certainly, Ivan wasn’t active since long in the film industry. Yet he wasn’t suffering from anything when he took his last breath. As per the reports straight from Reitman’s family, Ivan died while being asleep. Hence Ivan Reitman can’t be claimed to have died from any ailment rather it was a natural death for him.
Ivan was living in Montecito, California though. Also, he is reported to have died on 12th Feb. Not to miss, the man behind many comedy-drama Ivan has made a special place in the hearts of all. His most iconic film was Ghostbuster which hit the theatres and made all fall in love with it.
Ivan Reitman’s Family Mourning The Loss
After the demise of Ivan Reitman people from the industry and his fans have been mourning the loss. Moreover, his family has expressed their grief on the loss stating that they are proud of the journey of Ivan Reitman this far.
They stated that Ivan made people laugh and be happy with his work and that they are happy about it. Moreover, his family expressed their feelings on the demise of their loved one that they want to mourn in private. Nonetheless, his memorial services may be announced soon to pay him the tribute for his incredible work in the film industry.

Jason Reitman To Take Ivan Reitman’s Legacy Ahead
After the hit film Ghostbusters by Ivan Reitman, it was yet another time that the sequel of it was announced. Hopefully, not to a matter of surprise, his son Jason Reitman was quick enough to take the directorial chair for the movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Luckily, Jason Reitman managed to bring some of the Ghostbusters film cast in the sequel too. It’s clear for Jason Reitman that he would be the one who would walk the footsteps of his father to become someone as remarkable as Ivan Reitman himself.
