La La Anthony Speaks Up About Her Divorce from Carmelo Anthony; She Says ‘It Got Bad’

La La Anthony Files for Divorce From NY Knicks Carmelo Anthony, from NBA star Carmelo Anthony. La La Anthony has finally spoken out about her divorce.

On Monday,  October 11, a video was uploaded on YouTube, and in that interview with The Angie Martinez Show, the 39-year-old reality star discussed how her life has changed since her divorce from the sportsman. La La, who is married to Carmelo and has a 14-year-old son whose name is Kiyan. In June a filed for divorce after 11 years of being married.

  Angie Martinez who is a host asked if the previous MTV VJ had been in a sentimental place, she replied, “I was bad because it was public. I was bad because there were other people involved. I was bad because there were allegations. It got bad.”

La La Anthony Was Not Expecting Their Divorce

La La Anthony was shocked about whatever happened between the two of them,  they broke up. Furthermore, she said that it hit her really hard. She never thought about their divorce that it would ever happen.  Once his lawyer said, what did you expect? well, he is a basketball player.’ She further explained that she didn’t marry for this thing, she did even imagine these days.

The Full Court Life star of La La, later she is wearing two rings, she said one is “f–k” and for second she said “love”. “After you’ve been through what I went through, which was public and really hard, you do start feeling like that, and you see how people can become jaded and like, ‘Maybe it’s not for me,'” La La admitted. “But I want to always stay positive.”

In terms of her present relationship with  Lakers player of the Los Angeles, she expressed gratitude for the fact that they maintain a friendship while co-parenting, and that “there’s no drama with us.” La La Anthony said the for her son, the separation was a “transition”,  but he needs to accept this.


She further said that she has yet to resume dating. Moreover, the era of meeting people online is still foreign to her. La La Anthony also stated that, while she is unlikely to tie the knot once more. She is optimistic about the future.

Admittedly, she playfully clarified that after having to endure a difficult situation like hers. She has finally been able to “You realise how strong and resilient you are, and you bounce right back. Then you evaluate your Direct messages and try to  go on  a date.”
