Kendrick Lamar Changes Into Will Smith and Kanye West in the ‘The Heart Part 5’ music video

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has dropped a new single track, ‘The Heart Part 5’, just a couple of days ahead of the releasing his new album.

The 34 years old artist is scheduled to release his latest album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers on Friday 13th May.

‘The Heart Part 5 ‘was released alongside a music video where the rapper’s face morphs into several deep fakes. Some of them are OJ Simpson, Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, Kanye West and Nipsey Hussle.

Kendrick Lamar drops the new single track, ‘The Heart Part 5’ along with its music video 

The music video for ‘The Heart Part 5’ was directed by Dave Free and Kendrick Lamar himself.

The lyrics of Lamar’s song simultaneously start aligning themselves with the person he’s resembling in the music video.

For instance, when he is Kanye West the song talks about bipolar disease whereas when changes into Nipsey Hussle he sings about murder. Hussle was murdered after being shot back in 2019.

The song begins with an Oklahoma quote that says, ‘I am. All of us.’

Beach Noise, which includes Matt Schaeffer, Johnny Kosich, and Jake Kosich, served as the producers for The Heart Part 5 song.

Kyle Miller and Bekon on the other hand played instruments in the latest track.

‘The Heart Part 5’ is reported to sample Marvin Gaye’s ‘I Want You.’

‘Part 5’ is the latest track in Lamar’s long-running singles series titled ‘The Heart’. The artist usually drops a track before sharing a much wider project.

The fans have waited for nearly five years for Kendrick Lamar to release a new track. Their wishes came true earlier this week when the rappers released the ‘Part 5’ single as well as its music video.

One of the fans said, ‘King Kendrick stays undefeated, a league of his own.’

A second user commented, ‘There are artists who pay over six figures for a Marvin Gaye sample. So for Kendrick Lamar to use it as his comeback is everything.’

A fan took to Twitter to share their feelings on Lamar’s latest track. The tweet said, ‘From starting the verse with “I do this for the culture” to ending it with “f*** doing it for the culture”. The song slaps hard.’

The Compton-born musician has kept a low profile ever since releasing his acclaimed record, Damn in 2017.
