While driving her children in California this past weekend, Kelis nearly careened off a cliff while driving in snowy conditions. On Sunday, the 43-year-old musician posted a video to Instagram showing the damage to her vehicle, which was protruding over the cliff during inclement weather. ‘My truck got stuck. It’s just hanging,’ wrote the Milkshake singer, whose husband Mike Mora died of stomach cancer last year at 37. In the caption of the social media clip, she wrote, ‘I planned to take my kids to the snow, but we almost fell off a cliff’! Due to the snowy conditions, the vehicle careened toward a cliff, and the tires were covered with snow. The vehicle, which was in a downturn, was attached to a tow truck cable. Kelis Rogers-Mora, the singer’s full name, said, Thanks to God the tow truck made it – we’ve been out there for a long time. In her ‘ridiculous rescue fashion’ and layers to keep warm, the Grammy-nominated artist wore heavy snowboarding gear alongside her family. Wearing a puffy olive green coat and brown snowboarding pants, she wore a chartreuse scarf.
A California Snowstorm Nearly Caused Kelis And Her Kids To Fall Off A Cliff While Driving
Over the weekend, severe weather hit the United States. Parts of Los Angeles were even hit by snow, ice and freezing temperatures, an unprecedented event in The Golden State. The situation was so bad, Kelis and her children almost didn’t survive. The recent snowstorm in California almost resulted in Kelis and her children falling off a cliff. While panning over to her vehicle’s precarious position, the “Milkshake” singer said her truck got stuck. Like, it’s hanging. Continuing, she thanked God that the tow truck arrived safely. It has been a while since we were outside. Kelis, 43, and her family members were thankful for the snowboarding gear that kept them warm. The woman explained, showing off her ridiculous … rescue fashion, that she was wearing layers to keep warm. As Kelis noted, I have my light on, thank God, since it’s pitch black outside. The situation could be worse. Kelis reveals in the video’s caption that she planned to take the children out in the snow during the state’s first blizzard in 29 years. She turned the emergency into an OOTD moment, causing her followers on Instagram to poke fun at her. Kelis is a mother of three children, but she didn’t specify which of them was involved in the near-accident. In 2009, Knight, the Grammy nominee’s son with ex-husband Nas, was born. She and Mike Mora married in 2014, and their son Shepherd, now 7, and daughter, whose name is yet to be revealed, were born in 2015. After battling stage 4 stomach cancer, Mora passed away at the age of 37 in March 2022. It wasn’t something that happened suddenly. Kelis wrote in a statement six months later that she was able to prepare, love, and say goodbye. I’m grateful, even though it’s freaking awful.
