The controversy began when users on Reddit posted about Taylor Dudley’s arrest record from 2019. According to the screenshots, Taylor was arrested in Alabama, where the couple lived at the time, on charges of domestic violence and third-degree harassment against his wife, Kaylee Dudley. The incident has sparked significant backlash on various social media platforms, including YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok, with many users expressing their outrage and disappointment.
Taylor Dudley’s Arrest and Legal Documents
Legal documents, including a mugshot of Taylor Dudley, surfaced online, further fueling the controversy. These documents revealed that Taylor was arrested in January 2019 and faced charges related to domestic violence and harassment. Notably, he was released on a $300 bond, which was reportedly paid by Kaylee herself. Despite the severity of the allegations, the case was eventually dismissed.
A TikTok video by user Te-Erika detailed the arrest, alleging that Taylor “threw her down on the bed and then to the floor… then put her on the bed and pinned her down while she feared for her safety.” Following the incident, the couple reportedly relocated to Dallas, Texas, where they began their content creation journey.
Kaylee Dudley’s Response
In response to the resurfaced allegations, Kaylee Dudley addressed the situation in a now-deleted TikTok video, defending her husband. She claimed that Taylor “took the fall for something he didn’t do” and emphasized that he was not charged with abuse but with harassment, which was dismissed the next day. Despite her defense, many viewers remain skeptical, questioning the authenticity of her explanation.
One Reddit user commented, “You should never take the fall for anyone. Ever. I don’t care who you are. This is nothing but a gaslit excuse.” Another added, “Took the fall for someone else, for harassment? They’re gonna have to cook up a better story than that.”

Earlier this year, Kaylee addressed the alleged domestic violence incident under a YouTube video created by an internet user. She explained that while under new autoimmune medication, she consumed alcohol and had a bad episode, leading to her wanting to leave their residence. She claimed that Taylor did not want her to drive and suggested calling the police for help. Kaylee stated:
“I said I was going to call the police because I didn’t understand why he wouldn’t let me leave because of my confusion from the medicine. And so he agreed that I should call because he thought the police would help.”
She further explained that the police misconstrued the situation, resulting in Taylor spending the night in jail. Kaylee defended her husband, stating:
“I’m proud of him to this day for that. He stayed after I called the police to make sure I was ok.”
Criticism and Skepticism
In addition to the abuse allegations, Kay and Tay have also faced criticism for allegedly staging their videos. Critics argue that the couple’s content appears overly planned and rehearsed. A user in the “MomTok Gossip” Reddit community expressed, “The first time or so I saw them, it was kind of cute, but now everything seems so planned and staged and fake. The way they act… there is just no way that’s how they behave/talk/interact off camera. It’s very cringey.” Another user observed, “The more I pay attention to it, Tay seems very controlling… Kay’s a perfectionist who acts infantile. But EVERYONE eats them up! It’s so wild to me that no one sees through them.”
As of now, Kay and Tay have not issued a formal statement regarding the resurfaced allegations. They continue to post content online as usual, despite the ongoing scrutiny and criticism from the public.
