Some of the netizens compared Noel’s “Southern” song with Blake Shelton’s song Boys ‘Round Here’. While some went on to compare the song with Rebecca Black’s “Friday”.On social media one of the users wrote “We’re still recovering from Friday by Rebecca Black and you do this to us”.

The TikTok video of Katie Noel promoting her song went on to grab more than 1.6 million views. The criticism of her song “Southern” finally made her react the same. As she came up with a video to give a response to the criticism.
In her video reacting to the criticism of her song “Southern”. She went on to take a dig at them with her video where she did a mock news segment. Taking a spray bottle as her mic she said “This is tasteless b*tch reporting live from Southern Kentucky”.
Joking further she said, “Overnight sensation Katie Noel has gone viral with her song, ‘Southern’. And we ask ourselves: ‘What the actual f**k is that?’ “. There she imitated and joked about the whole thing. The video of Noel however reacting on the critics has been going viral now.
