Kanye West’s haters launch ‘make me richer instead’ GoFundMe
2 min readHaters of Kanye West respond to the rapper’s fandom who are trying to help him regain his billionaire status by starting a GoFundMe page.
The absurdity comes after the Donda hitmaker’s net worth took a dip this week and is currently estimated to be around $400 million.
Here is everything you need to know.
Kanye West fans and haters start rapper’s related GoFundMe
Fans of Kanye West have decided to pitch together and to make him a billionaire again after major companies like Adidas, Balenciaga and Gap cut ties with him.
At least dozens of GoFundMe pages popped up this week that aimed to make West a billionaire again.
Regardless, these pages were taken down soon with the supporters only managing to make a few bucks.
Moreover, West’s haters responded in opposition by launching their own GoFundMe pages to not let the 45-year-old singer reach the 10-digit mark.
The opposition came up with an interesting strategy to prevent West from becoming a billionaire again by asking that ‘they’ should become billionaires instead.
Some of these pages were titled, ‘Make me a billionaire instead of Kanye West,’ ‘Make my children billionaires instead of Kanye,’ and ‘Make me richer than Kanye West.’
In addition, someone launched a GoFundMe called, ‘Make a random Swede a billionaire, not Kanye West’ which showed a picture of a blonde man seated on a tiny bicycle.
Furthermore, a different person titled their campaign with, ‘Don’t make Kanye West a billionaire, make me one!’
While someone else’s page read, ‘Make me (not Kayne West) billionaire again’ with the photo of a man with his brown dog.
Again these pages have not raised more than $25 with the maximum amount of several anti-West pages ranging between $5 to $6.
Social media users react to Kanye West-related GoFundMe
Many netizens took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Kanye West’s fans launching a support campaign to make him a billionaire again despite his antisemitic remarks.
A user wrote, ‘Oh heck No. Can they make one for me instead? Cus the way way my bank account is looking.’
Additionally, someone else chimed in saying, ‘Okkkayy! Kanye West’s fans created a GoFundMe page to return him to billionaire status. I mean, what in the actual STUPID.’
OMG please stop raising money for Kanye West, he doesn't give a damn about you, you're giving him your money that you worked hard for. Couldn't believe it when I saw that people are starting GoFundMe accounts to get him back his billions of dollars that he lost.
