Fans slam Kanye West for his ‘Shalom’ tweet after the rapper cut back his self-imposed verbal fast.

Here is everything you need to know.

What does Kanye West’s ‘Shalom’ mean?

Kanye West took to Twitter on 20th November to announce his comeback on the social media platform.

He wrote the Hebrew supposed greeting, ‘shalom’ which translates to ‘peace’ in English.

If you didn’t know, West was restricted to use Twitter after his controversial, ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE’ tweet. The platform banned him citing that West violated the social media rules and norms.

Meanwhile, his return to Twitter comes a little ahead of Elon Musk completing his $44 billion deal to take over the social media giant.

Besides that, West has lost a number of potential deals with big brands after he went on an anti-semitic spree on the internet. Most notably, Adidas cut ties with West after their billion-dollar collaboration on Yeezy.

Netizens took to social media to slam Kanye West over his ‘Shalom’ message and his comeback on Twitter.

A user said,  ‘Kanye West’s “Shalom” tweet was the last straw. Looking forward to signing back in again after Elon Musk no longer owns it!’

Moreover, someone chimed in saying, ‘How dare Kanye reply with “Shalom,” considering his anti-Semitic rants. Who does he think he is?!’

A different user commented, ‘Shalom bigot Kanye, just don’t go death con 3 again or it’s going to cost you your whole net worth, ok buddy?’

Elon Musk welcomes Kanye West back on Twitter

Before sharing the ‘shalom’ message, Kanye West checked whether his account is active in reality.

He tweeted, ‘Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.’

However, the new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk responded to West’s post.

He said, ‘Don’t kill what ye hate. Save what ye love.’

For the unversed, Musk is recently making news for his chaotic takeover of the micro-blogging platform.

West, who changed his name, Ye, on the other hand, announced on 4th November that he is going to observe a 30-day ‘cleanse’ and ‘verbal fast.’ Additionally, he said that he would refrain from things such as alcohol, adult films, and sexual intercourse.

He claimed, ‘I’m not talking to nobody for a month.’

Moreover, the 45-year-old rapper shared the same tweet thirteen more times before going silent for the next two weeks.
