An Orange County court dismissed Justin Roiland domestic violence case on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, due to a lack of evidence. Through a tweet accompanied by a message, the 43-year-old informed his fans about the same. During an incident involving his then-girlfriend, Roiland was arrested for domestic violence in 2020. According to his arrest report, he was arrested on two counts, one for domestic violence with corporal harm and one for false imprisonment through terror, violence, fraud, and deceit. His bail was set at $50,000 when he was arrested in August 2020. In response to the charges, he pleaded not guilty. It was announced earlier this year that a trial would be held.

Several screenshots show the writer using abusive language and making problematic statements, such as asking the girl to engage in sex slavery and start cam wh**ing. As Domestic Violence Charges Against Justin Roiland Are Dropped, DM Scandal Garners Backlash
Variety confirms that “Rick and Morty” creator Justin Roiland is free of domestic violence charges. District Attorney’s spokeswoman Kimberly Edds said: We dismissed the charges because there wasn’t enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. As a result of the dropped charges, Roiland posted a statement on social media, thanking the government for dismissing the case. As a result of the horrible lies that were reported about me, I’m still deeply shaken. The judge scheduled Roiland for a pre-trial hearing in January after he was charged with one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury as well as one felony charge of false imprisonment by threats, violence, fraud, or deceit. The charges against him were filed in 2020, and he pleaded not guilty. It was scheduled that a second pre-trial hearing would take place on April 27. According to Roiland’s new statement, he has always been aware that these claims are false – and he never doubted this day would arrive. However, I am still deeply shaken by the horrendous lies that were reported about me during the course of this process, even though I am thankful for the dismissal of this case. Despite knowing the facts, so many people quickly judged without knowing the details, relying on the word of an embittered ex who was trying to avoid due process.

Adult Swim announced at the time that Roiland’s association with the network had ended. Roiland resigned from Squanch Games, the gaming company he co-founded in 2016. Several netizens called Justin Roiland out for his sense of justice following his tweet about the dismissal of the case. In addition to the 43-year-old’s mistake the other times, many pointed out. Commentators called the writer a prick for not taking responsibility for his actions.
