All eyes were on Julia Roberts and Sean Penn as the actors hit the red carpet of their brand new series, Gaslit looking like power players.
Both the actors sported suits for the New York City premiere night of their political thriller limited series on Monday evening.

Julia Roberts and Sean Penn donned suits for Gaslit’s red carpet
Julia Roberts looked chic in a grey blazer and short pants. Sean Penn on the other hand rocked the classic black tuxedo with a matching tie. The pair looked stunning as they posed for snapshots outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In the new series, the 54 years old actress will act as Watergate’s whistleblower Martha Mitchell. The 61 years old actor will play the role of Attorney General John Mitchell, husband of Martha.
The actors were joined by Dan Stevens and Betty Gilpin who are going to appear as the infamous couple Mo and John Dean in Gaslit.
Stevens ditched the traditional suit for a purple, orange, and copper-colored three-piece suit. Gilpin who is recognized for her role as Debbie in Netflix’s female-wrestling comedy series Glow opted for a black gown.
Details on Gaslight
The forthcoming series is based on Slow Burn by Leon Neyfakh. It will focus on the modern take on the Watergate scandal. The show will also feature the untold stories of forgotten characters.
The Pretty Woman actress character, Martha was the first person who tried to warn the public about Watergate. However, the people turned against her claiming her to be insane.
The ensemble cast also consists of Shea Whigham, Darby Camp along with Aleksandar Filimonović.
Reed Diamond will be seen as Mark Felt, the anonymous source known as Deep Throat. Patton Oswalt will feature as special counsel officer, Charles Colson.
The series is created by Robbie Pickering.
Gaslit’s trailer for the debut season was released in February. The show is set to hit the screens on 24th April on Starz.
Julia Roberts’s upcoming projects
Julia Roberts recently sat down with The New York Times Magazine for an interview. It was published on Friday. During the interview, the actress mentioned that she will appear in the upcoming romantic comedy film Ticket to Paradise which is scheduled to release in October 2022.
Roberts will appear alongside George Clooney in the rom-com. They will feature as a divorced couple who will try to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they did in the past.
