Johnny Depp is reportedly making history with Dior as he recently landed himself a million plus with the luxury label.

Here is everything you need to know.

Johnny Depp signs the biggest men’s fragrance contract ever with Dior

According to reports, Johnny Depp and Dior are extending their partnership which will reportedly be for three years and worth over $20 million.

Moreover, the pact is seemingly one of the most lucrative fragrance deals signed by a celebrity.

It eclipses the $12 million contract Robert Pattinson signed to become the spokesperson for Dior Homme fragrance in June 2013. Brad Pitt on the other hand received $7 million to promote Chanel No. 5.

While Depp was in hot water following his tumultuous court battle with his former wife Amber Heard last year, Dior chose not to drop the actor.

Instead, the brand went on to publicly show its support for Depp, who has fronted the fragrance since it launched in 2015, throughout the tough time.

In addition, Dior Beauty launched a new social campaign to promote Depp after he came out victorious in the defamation suit.

The label took to its Instagram account to share the announcement in September 2022 in the wake of the news that the actor has re-upped his pact.

They wrote, ‘Profound and authentic. Johnny Depp embodies the heady magic of Sauvage.’

They further commented in a follow-up post. It said, ‘More than ever, Johnny Depp is the soul of Sauvage.’

Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation

Johnny Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in 2019 after she named herself as a victim of domestic violence in a media outlet.

Although Heard did not mention Depp’s name in the article, the Nightmare on Elm Street star sued the Aquaman actress.

Heard took to her social media account to share her views after the settlement between her and Depp.

She wrote, ‘I defended my truth and in doing so my life as I knew it was destroyed.’

She continued, ‘The vilification I have faced on social media is an amplified version of the ways in which women are [re-victimized] when they come forward.’

Heard then went on to say, ‘Now I finally have an opportunity to emancipate myself from something I attempted to leave over six years ago and on terms I can agree to. I have made no admission.’

She added, ‘This is not an act of concession. There are no restrictions or gags with respect to my voice moving forward.’
