During the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast featuring special guest Doe Boy, Joe Budden disclosed the amount of money he has earned from podcasting, sparking skepticism from his cohosts and listeners alike.

In the video clip shared on Wednesday (April 24), Doe Boy inquires about Joe’s podcasting earnings, prompting Joe to respond, “About [$4 million]” over the course of the past decade. His cohosts react with laughter and disbelief, calling his claim into question.

Joe elaborates on his earnings, recounting the journey from initially doing podcasts for free to striking a lucrative deal with Spotify. He acknowledges the departure of some team members and the subsequent challenges faced by the podcast, but highlights the support of friends who helped sustain it. He estimates his earnings to be between three-and-a-half to four-and-a-half million dollars.

Doe Boy reacts to Joe’s revelation with skepticism, expressing doubt about the accuracy of the figure.

The History of The Joe Budden Podcast traces back to February 2015 when Joe launched “I’ll Name This Podcast Later” alongside cohosts Rory Farrell and Marisa Mendez. Over the years, the podcast underwent various changes, including Mendez’s replacement with Jamil “Mal” Clay in 2016. In August 2018, Joe signed a podcast deal with Spotify, which concluded in September 2020. Following the contract’s expiration, Joe established The Joe Budden Network and continued podcasting. However, in May 2021, Rory and Mal departed from the show amid payment disputes.

Joe Budden, known for his rap career and later success as a broadcaster, has a net worth of $6 million. He gained fame with his 2003 single “Pump It Up” and as a member of the hip hop group Slaughterhouse. Often likened to the “Howard Stern of Hip Hop,” Joe transitioned from music to podcasting, finding significant success as the host of The Joe Budden Podcast.
