In August 2018, Joe signed a podcast deal with Spotify, which concluded in September 2020. Following the contract’s expiration, Joe established The Joe Budden Network and continued podcasting. However, in May 2021, Rory and Mal departed from the show amid payment disputes.

He gained fame with his 2003 single “Pump It Up” and as a member of the hip hop group Slaughterhouse.
