Jodie Turner-Smith’s wedding to Joshua Jackson appears to be over, as she recently filed for divorce from him. After four years of marriage, British actor/model Jodie Turner-Smith has filed for divorce from Canadian actor/husband Joshua Jackson. The plaintiff claims that “irreconcilable differences” are the grounds for the divorce. A divorce petition has been filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles by Jodie. Jodie has requested joint custody of the couple’s 3-year-old daughter Juno, according to documents submitted by celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. She has, however, withdrawn spousal support for both herself & her husband. Furthermore, the couple’s marriage lacked a prenuptial agreement.

In the records, the date of separation is listed as September 13. The two met in 2018 during Joshua’s birthday celebration & hit it off right away. They fell head over heels so quickly that they were engaged months later. Even before many people knew they were dating, they decided to marry in 2019 and secured a wedding licence from the Beverly Hills Courthouse. Juno, the couple’s kid, was born in April 2020. Both celebrities have previously spoken only positively about each other in interviews. Jodie told PEOPLE in April 2021 about how fortunate they were to have discovered each other.

After 4 Years Of Marriage, Jodie Turner-Smith Seeks Divorce From Joshua Jackson
Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson. The Queen & Slim actress, 37, filed for divorce from the Fatal Attraction actor, 45, in the Los Angeles Superior Court following more than three years of marriage, according to PEOPLE. Jackson and Turner-Smith married in late 2019, and their first child, a daughter, was born in April 2020. A source verifies to PEOPLE that Turner-Smith has requested 50/50 split custody in her filing. The couple celebrated her 37th birthday in New York City on Sept. 9, were recently photographed at New York Fashion Week, and helped introduce the Lotus Emeya electric vehicle in September, however, Turner-Smith attended last week’s Albie Awards alone, hosted by George Clooney. Turner-Smith reportedly revealed that she has been a fan of Jackson’s since his days on Dawson’s Creek and that they first met at Usher’s 40th birthday party in 2018. “When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand,” she said in 2021 on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“Two, three-year one-night stands now.” Jackson and Turner-Smith looked to have picked up a marriage license in Beverly Hills, California, in August 2019. PEOPLE later reported that the couple married in December 2019. In April 2021, the Murder Mystery 2 actress told PEOPLE about how fortunate she and Jackson were to have met. “I believe it’s truly wonderful to be with someone who is so encouraging and loving,” she explained, adding that “we’re so similar in so many ways.” We’re like reflections of each other. And I really adore that human being.” Jackson & Turner-Smith previously spent time together in New York City to celebrate Turner-Smith’s 37th birthday. They also recently walked the red carpet together for a J. Crew event during New York Fashion Week. Jackson told Andy Cohen of Watch What Happens Live in May that he realised Turner-Smith was “the one” as soon as she “walked into the room glowing like that.” Turner-Smith informed Forbes in 2022 that she wanted to marry her husband owing to “how cherished and encouraged I felt by him” back then.
