It appears like even prison bars could not keep Jen Shah away from acting. According to recent news, she is making a stage play which is reportedly quite similar to Bravo’s Housewives series. In addition, a few of her fellow inmates are also a part of it.

Here is everything you need to know.

Jen Shah is developing ‘Housewives’ play with prison inmates

Jen Shah’s manager Chris Giovanni recently talked to TMZ revealing what the actress has been up to while being cooped up in the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

Moreover, he claimed that Shah is busy creating a production that is seemingly titled ‘The Real Housewives of Bryan.’

Giovanni added that the production is still in early development because Shah is also spending time teaching some of her fellow inmates how to read and write.

Meanwhile, as per news, Shah’s play will supposedly center around the real-life housewives residing at FPC Bryan. However, the personalities of the chosen housewives will rise to eleven.

Shah entered a guilty plea in July last year following her arrest in March 2021. Her assistant Stuart Smith and she were accused of running a nationwide telemarketing scheme that targeted elderly victims.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star said in a statement, ‘I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people. I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.’

Jen Shah’s prison sentence was reduced by a year

Jen Shah reported to a Texas prison in February to begin her 78-month (6.5 years) sentence over her role in a long-running telemarketing fraud scheme.

However, as per recent news, the 49-year-old actress is now slated to be released on 30th August 2028.

Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni said in a statement, ‘I have spoken with my client Jen Shah over the phone this week — she is doing well and remains committed to making her victims whole.’

Meanwhile, Shah’s attorney Priya Chaudhry also talked about Shah before her sentence began last month.

She mentioned, ‘Jen Shah’s resolve to make her victims whole and to turn her life around is unyielding.’

Chaudhry added, ‘She is committed to serving her sentence with courage and purpose, fueled by her desire to make amends for the hurt she has caused and to help others in her new community.’
