Jeezy is reminiscing on a rough period in his life. The rapper, who divorced Jeannie Mai last month, recently opened up about his mental health struggles, stating he fought with depression for almost a decade prior to understanding more about the issue. “I realised that being vulnerable is power,” the 46-year-old said in an Oct. 16 segment on Tamron Hall. As someone who came from poverty, I believed there was something amiss with me. During his interview, Jeezy discussed his recently released memoir, “Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe.” The rapper mentioned his anxiety difficulties about midway through the chat. Jeezy also discussed how “freeing” himself from the stigmas associated with anxiety & mental health helped him a “better person.” Jeezy went on to say that he is currently composing a biography on his experience since he had no notion he was “depressed” for eight years of his life “straight.” The rapper described his symptoms as waking up and “wanting to go back to sleep,” as well as “leaning” into his “vices.” The rapper now realises that his trauma was caused by the loss of many persons close to him.
