Why was ASAP Rocky arrested?
Los Angeles police have announced that rapper A$AP Rocky has been detained in connection with a shooting that occurred in November.
On his way back from a vacation with his girlfriend, Rihanna, the star was apprehended at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday.
The singer, whose true name is Rakim Mayers, was being investigated by police for his possible involvement in a non-fatal gunshot in Hollywood last year.

The link between Naija and ASAP Rocky has been established thanks to a viral tweet.
A user named zioranachidimma sent the viral tweet. It’s unclear who’s behind it, but the tweet managed to catch the attention of a lot of people.
“Queen Naija really shot someone and blamed it on A$AP???” read the tweet. The tweet gained a lot of attention quickly, and it now has over 91k likes, 7k retweets, and 1k individuals who have cited it.
Indeed, some people were taken aback by the news. This is not the case.
Rumors get responded to by Queen Naija

During the rumors surrounding ASAP Rocky, some people dredged up old recordings of the actress in which she made a racial remark. “I never bullied anyone a day in my life,” Naija replied in response. I was criticising those who had bullied me! Some people were outraged because I used a term to denote hair rather than skin. I apologized and addressed the situation.

ASAP Rocky was released on bail of $550,000
Shortly after his arrest, ASAP Rocky was released on $550,000 (£421,000) bail.
The arrest was made in connection with an “argument between two acquaintances” that culminated in rounds being fired, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim later informed authorities that Mayers approached him on the street with a firearm while walking with two other people. According to police reports acquired by NBC News, they claimed Mayers shot him three to four times and that one of the rounds grazed his left hand.
