John Goodman flaunted his 200-pounds weight loss in the premiere. The star of Roseanne attended the premiere along with his co-stars Pete Davidson and Blake Anderson.

John Goodman startled the entire crowd with his good looks and charm. He was dressed in a light blue collard shirt, a V-neck orange sweater, a brown oversized blazer, a pair of wash jeans, and grey trainers.

It didn’t take long for his fans to react. Many tweeted over Twitter. They shared his pictures with a caption that spoke about him looking great. They added by also mentioning the fact that Goodman had lost weight. John looked fit and enthusiastic while he posed for the cameras. It felt like the weight loss had given the actor, confidence and high spirit.

This entire process started in the late 2000s. The star decided to lose weight after he weighed 400 pounds. Goodman transformed after years of hard work, training, exercise, and the very popular Mediterranean diet. His trainer, Mackie Shilstone was the biggest support in his entire journey.

The 69-year-old star is now all set to play the role of Fat Freddy Freekowski in his upcoming animated Tubi series. The show’s casting crew also involves Woody Harrelson and Tiffany Haddish.

The actor began his weight loss journey in the year 2007. He experienced an immense struggle during the same. As the actor was an alcoholic addict, he acknowledged the fact, that to lose weight he had to stop alcohol.

In an interview with Sunday Today in 2018, the actor spoke about his struggle to leave alcohol. He said, “My speech would be slurred; I thought I was fooling people. My cheeks would turn bright red when I was liquored up. I just looked like a stop sign. I had to go accept an Emmy award. So, I missed the rehearsal because I was drunk. And then by the time Sunday morning rolled around I was shaking; I was still drinking, but I was still shaking.”

Preceding this particular incident, the actor decided that he needed professional help and treatment: “I had the clarity of thought that I needed to be hospitalized. I called my wife, which was like turning myself into the Gestapo. And she made some phone calls; we got me into a treatment center, and I detoxed there and decided I liked the feeling. And it’s been 10 years.”

John Goodman’s Testimony

In his entire journey, John spoke about the Mediterranean diet being of great help. He added that leaving alcohol had also helped in the process. “It was basically just portion control and ‘I don’t need it.’ I was just shoving everything into my mouth. But I don’t want to be an example to anybody when the weight comes thundering back on — when I start eating Crisco out of the can with a spoon and a side of confectioner’s sugar.”- John Goodman.
