Hailey Bieber is speaking out against the “twisted and perpetuated” narrative that pits her against Selena Gomez. During an appearance on Bloomberg’s “The Circuit with Emily Chang” earlier this week, the 26-year-old model, who is married to Gomez’s ex Justin Bieber, highlighted the ongoing feud rumours. This isn’t about me, Hailey Bieber, or Selena Gomez, in my opinion. “This isn’t about pitting two women against each other or dividing two women,” she explained. It is about the horrendous, sickening hatred that is caused by false, distorted, and repeated narratives. That is extremely risky. The negativity, according to the Rhode Skin founder, gives an opportunity to “draw people together in an honest way.”

As she explained, “I am not okay with the division it caused.”. I don’t enjoy the whole ‘team this person’ and ‘team that person’ thing – I’m simply not into it.” Gomez, 30, and Justin, 29, dated on and off for over eight years before calling it quits in March 2018. Months later, in September, the “Sorry” singer married Hailey, sparking accusations that she “stole” Justin from the Rare Beauty entrepreneur. Earlier this month, the model voiced similar feelings about the rumoured conflict, urging her admirers to avoid writing “nasty comments” on the “Only Murders in the Building” star’s social media posts.

Hailey Bieber Responds To The Dangerous Narrative That Pits Her Against Selena Gomez: Says ‘There Is No Problem’

Hailey Bieber isn’t having it. She expressed to host Emily Chang how much she dislikes individuals who pit her against Selena Gomez on social media during a panel discussion about her skincare line, Rhode, on The Circuit on Thursday (June 29). There’s no way this is about me – Hailey Bieber – and Selena Gomez. “It’s concerning the vile, dreadful hatred which can come from entirely made up and twisted and propagated narratives that can be really perilous,” she responded when Chang asked regarding the drama that took place after the internet believed she and her friend Kylie Jenner were shading the “Lose You to Love Me” singer’s brows — something both The Kardashians star and Rhode founder have denied doing. After rumours of animosity between Bieber and the Only Murders in the Building star surfaced earlier this year, the singer-actress revealed in an Instagram Story that the model, who is married to Justin Bieber, whom Gomez previously dated, was receiving death threats online. “This isn’t what I stand for,” Gomez was adamant at the time. Model later thanked singer-actress for conveying a message she’s always campaigned for on social media, “No one should face prejudice or hatred.” She’s always campaigned for kindness and wants for these things to come to an end. In her interview, Hailey saw the scenario as “an opportunity to really stand for bringing people together” and speaking out against divisiveness. I don’t like the whole Team This Person and Team This Person concept,’ she said.

I’m just not into that — I want to be able to bring people together,” she says. “That was a very significant opportunity for individuals to realize that one could do just that, and people could come together, rather than being divided.” Furthermore, she could not believe that it was all over a man. “Cause of a guy?!?” It’s dreadful! It irritates me! The reason I’ve hated it since the beginning is that I’m misunderstood often, so, I don’t know why I keep having to clarify, and why we keep saying that there is no problem, and there is no problem,” she said, referring to rumors of a feud between her and the Golden Globe nominee. “It’s so disheartening that people still act that way because they have a male president.” Unfortunately, this is the society in which we live right now.” Hailey mentioned earlier in the interview that she might find it “hard” to deal with all of the negative comments about her on the internet.”I think it’s sometimes just an unpleasant reality check for me,” she explained, adding that she’s learning to block out the negativity. The internet does not represent my real life. I spend my actual time with the people I care about. And it can be difficult to stay there and focus on that when things are noisy and disturbing.” “There’s never any winning with the internet,” she added.
