In addition to seeking reimbursement of her legal fees, the actress sought $1 in damages. During Paltrow’s testimony on Friday, Sanderson’s lawyer Kristin Vanorman made headlines for grilling her.

She claimed Sanderson struck her instead while on the ski slope, not colliding with her. This was the main point of the testimony. Her knowledge of ski rules and the events leading up to the ski accident were the topics of Kristin Vanorman’s nearly hour-long questioning. After a skiing collision, Vanorman asked Paltrow if she knew how contact information should be exchanged. Upon Paltrow’s assertion that Sanderson was at fault and her instructor told her to provide Sanderson with her information, the attorney asked her: Do you know that skiing requires sharing information in the event of a collision?

Paltrow was grilled during her testimony by Sanderson’s lawyer Kristin Vanorman on Friday. A key point of Paltrow’s testimony was that she denied colliding with Sanderson and claimed the latter struck her on the ski slope instead. As they spoke, Vanorman spent nearly an hour asking the actress about the events preceding the ski accident and what she knew about ski rules. After questioning Paltrow about her relationship with Taylor Swift, Vanorman asked if her $1 countersuit was inspired by Swift’s 2017 case against radio DJ David Mueller. It was even suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow send Swift “intimate gifts” for Christmas before the judge said she could choose to decline the question. Kristin Vanorman told Gwyneth Paltrow during her depositions that the former “lied under oath several times” during the trial, and she dropped her jaw. Vanorman changed her words from “slanderous” to “prior inconsistent statements” when Paltrow’s lawyer called it “slanderous.” The Paltrow team still hasn’t called any witnesses. Recently, Kristin Vanorman went viral online after grilling Gwyneth Paltrow during a ski collision trial involving a 2016 ski accident in Utah’s Deer Valley Resort. Twitter users also shared moments during Vanorman’s testimony when he interacted with Paltrow. Terry Sanderson’s attorneys mentioned at the end of Friday’s proceedings that they would likely have the plaintiff testify on Monday before resting their case.
