Ex-UFC fighter Nate Marquardt is being criticized for his views on homosexuality. 58 MMA fights, including 25 in the UFC, have been fought by Marquardt, a former Strikeforce middleweight champion. MMA newbies may not know ‘The Great’ is a homophobe, but he has an established homophobic reputation among the community. When watching UFC Vegas 69, the 43-year-old tweeted: Wow disgusting commercial watching @ESPNPlus with my kids and having to tell them not to look at two men kissing! Marquardt’s comments disgusted fans, with one saying: Imagine if either of your kids had to come out to you someday. There are times when people’s Twitter accounts are hacked, which can lead to misleading comments. Marquardt, however, does not fall into that category.

Nate Marquardt will not apologize for his views on homosexuality. Fans and media have reacted strongly to his initial comments. As a professional MMA fighter, Marquardt has a 36-20-2 record. The Great took off nearly four years after leaving the UFC in 2017 but returned in 2021 to defeat Michael Cora by first-round submission in Titan FC. He fought again two months later and lost by second-round knockout. Whether he plans to fight again is unclear.

Nate Marquardt won’t apologize for his opinion on homosexuality. Several fans and media outlets have responded negatively to his initial remarks. Marquardt responded to everyone who questioned his views on Twitter by saying: It is not hateful to say that homosexuality, paedophilia, or fornication are disgusting. Sitting on the sidelines when the culture praises evil is not loving (1Cor 6:9-11).
