The Voice has had a profound impact on Blake Shelton life and career since he became its coach in 2011. However, he announced last year that he would be walking away after season 23. Blake Shelton told a recent interviewer that leaving The Voice crossed his mind a few years ago, but he decided to stay. The Voice season 23 filming began in October last year when Shelton announced his decision. According to a statement he posted on social media, he had been “wrestling with” quitting. As he writes, this show has changed my life in every way and will always be my home.

The Voice from NBC has been a hell of a ride over these 12 years. I would like to thank everyone at the show, including the producers, writers, musicians, crew, and caterers. To pull off a live show twice a week, takes a lot of work, passion, and alcohol (Ha!). Simply put, Shelton’s departure is due to time. In multiple interviews, he expressed a desire to be able to spend more time with his wife, Gwen Stefani, who he met on The Voice, and stepchildren, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

Blake Shelton has been coaching NBC’s singing competition since its debut in 2011, and it has changed his life and career forever. His decision to step down after season 23 was announced last year. According to Blake Shelton, leaving The Voice crossed his mind a few years ago, but he chose to stick with it. As filming for season 23 of The Voice began last October, Shelton made his announcement. After “wrestling with” the decision to quit for quite some time, he revealed the decision on social media. There’s only one reason for Shelton’s departure: it’s time. As he has mentioned in numerous interviews, he would like to spend more time with his wife, Gwen Stefani, whom he met on The Voice, and his stepchildren, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. According to him, the kids view him as a very important person. Why isn’t Blake here when they ask? That stuff is important to me. Despite all the money I’ve made, I can’t buy back time. I don’t want to live with regrets. In an interview with Today, Blake Shelton revealed that his decision to leave The Voice dates back to 2020. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said he was considering calling it a day.

Due to COVID, I did not want to walk away from the show and leave everyone stranded. He said he would stay here until things got back to normal. Shelton was only doing the least he could after The Voice changed his life. He initially hated reality TV and even thought The Voice was “stupid.” However, when the show gave him a career boost and helped him fall in love, he changed his mind. Eventually, he couldn’t get enough of The Voice. In the beginning, everything in my life was turned upside down when I became a coach on this show, said Shelton. You know, in a good way? In spite of the end of his time on The Voice, Shelton’s career in country music, business, and reality TV continues to flourish. Currently, he is on his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, which concludes at the end of March. As part of Shelton’s Ole Red franchise expansion, a new Las Vegas location will open in 2023. Last but not least, he and Carson Daly will be returning for a second season of their game show, Barmageddon, on USA Network. It is possible that Shelton’s fans will also see him take a break from his career challenges.
